Safeguarding

In line with 'Keeping the Church Family Safe' (KCFS) Safeguarding policy, Balham SDA Community Church is committed to promoting a safe culture, ensuring the highest levels of safeguarding for children, young people and vulnerable adults who
attend our church.

We are committed to...

  • Promoting a safer environment and culture.
  • Safely recruiting and supporting all those with any responsibility related to children, young people and vulnerable adults within the church.
  • Responding promptly to every safeguarding concern or allegation.
  • Caring pastorally for victims/survivors of abuse and other affected persons.
  • Caring pastorally for those who are the subject of concerns or allegations of abuse and other affected persons.
  • Responding to those that may pose a present risk to others.

We expect all post holders, members and attendees to share this commitment. Should there be any allegations or safeguarding issues, Balham SDA Community Church will follow the procedure outlined in our Safeguarding policy.

Reporting abuse can be very difficult, there is help and support available. Please rest assured that safeguarding is an integral part of the ministry at the Balham SDA Community Church. It involves proactive actions to promote a safer culture within our church and community. This commitment is essential to creating spaces where everyone feels safe, valued, and supported.
